I bought 2 of these to place on each side of my T.V. console and they look really great. They also hold more than I expected. They arrived really quickly. I thought the assembly was easy to figure out and didn't take too long. My only complaints would be that they are not very heavy/sturdy. They do, however, feel stable once you place things on them. Also, the connection between the top and the bottom sections does not sit flush when you stack them. There is a slight gap. Overall, I think they are great for what they cost and the most reasonably priced ladder shelves that I could find. I've gotten a few compliments on them.

Honestly for the price I was just crossing my fingers that this shelf would work in the mean time until we found something better. When we got the shelf and assembled it (which took no time to do) we were surprised at how nice it actually looks. We've been to all the furniture stores around my house and couldn't find what we were looking for and went to amazon as a last resort.
There is a shelf at target that is similar to this that we almost bought instead but I'm glad we didn't because this shelf actually looks a lot nicer and was a little bit cheaper.
I would say my only concern is that I have a 2 year old and so I will need to mount this to the wall and because of what it's made out of it doesn't seem like it will mount without cracking. -- great for the price

I have had a few bookcases in teh past. This one hands down beats any other one I have had. It is in wonderful shape for the price and took minutes to put together. The shelves are generous with the spacing. I am ordering another one today to hold the rest of my monumentous book collection. This shelf easily will hold 100+ books.

I must say that this picture does not do it justice. The depth of the bottom shelf is large enough to fit a small microwave. And the top shelf is not so narrow. The shelving space is very generous. This bookcase IS NOT intended to store hundreds of heavy books. It is not made out of oak or pine wood. However, if you're like me, and have a good 20 - 30 books with no place to put them, this bookcase is perfect. It does not take up a lot of space and is very appealing to the eye. A few books, a few decorative accents and you have a very nice looking bookcase for your home office. -- Very satisfied
